Frequently Asked Questions
What is a sound bath?
A sound bath is a guided relaxation experience where crystal bowls, gongs, and other instruments create soothing vibrations that help calm the mind, release stress, and restore balance. You simply lie down, get comfortable, and let the sound waves wash over you.
What can I expect?
In person sessions are held in a calm, welcoming space. You’ll be invited to set an intention, then relax as sound frequencies guide you into deep rest. Some people feel energized afterward, while others feel grounded and peaceful.
What should I bring?
Bring yourself and anything that helps you feel comfortable, such as a yoga mat, blanket, pillow, or water. Dress in cozy clothes you can relax in.
Contraindications.
Sound healing is generally safe, but there are certain situations where it may not be recommended. Please consult your healthcare provider before booking if any of these apply:
Severe or uncontrolled epilepsy (vibrations may trigger seizures).
Pacemakers, defibrillators, or other implanted electronic medical devices (frequencies may interfere).
Metal implants or plates (may cause discomfort due to vibration).
Serious heart conditions (check with your doctor).
First trimester of pregnancy (safety is not established).
Sound sensitivity disorders or certain mental health conditions ie. Schizophrenia (may cause distress).
Recent surgery or open wounds (vibrations may interfere with healing).
Severe tinnitus, Ménière’s disease, or other chronic inner ear issues (can sometimes worsen symptoms).
Active substance use or intoxication (sound baths are not safe under these conditions).
How often should I attend ?
Everyone’s journey is different. Some attend weekly for ongoing self-care, others come monthly, or whenever they need a reset. Trust your body and what feels right.
